Gary Robitaille is a graduate of Ryerson Polytechnic Institute. He has 33 years experience in Building Code applications, with 14 years experience at LRI Engineering Inc. His expertise includes Building Code consulting, review and plans examination, Alternative Solutions development and negotiation, Life Safety Studies, Building Condition Assessments, and Fire Code Audits for Hotels and residential occupancies.

SYNOPSIS:

Review of current Codes and Standards relating to Safety During Construction, Occupancy of unfinished buildings, and risks associated with construction activates during renovations and new construction. Discussion of fire incident data relating to fires in occupied buildings undergoing renovations and fires in new-under construction buildings. Fire incident numbers in buildings under renovation have been on the rise in the past 5 years.
