Susan Clarke
Technical Services Section
Office of the Fire Marshal

Susan has extensive experience in Building Code and Fire Code application and enforcement. Her duties at the OFM are varied and have included the development of fire safety legislation, review of Inspection Orders appeals, and the technical investigation of fires. She has been involved in several technical committees related to the Ontario Building and Fire Codes, and is a registered Facilitator with MMAH – qualified to teach many of the OBC and OFC courses.

SYNOPSIS:

This presentation will provide an overview of the basis for categories of technical changes, and highlight many of the changes to the next edition of the Ontario Fire Code. A schedule for anticipated release of the next edition of the Fire Code will also be provided.
