SPEAKER:

Jeff Yuill
Arch Insurance Canada Ltd.

Jeff Yuill manages the engineering department at Arch Insurance Canada Ltd which lends technical support and guidance to all of the business divisions within Canada. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a B.A.Sc. (Mechanical). Before joining Arch, Jeff spent eight years at Starr Technical Risks Agency, Inc. as the Technical Services Manager. Previously, he was with Willis Canada as Risk Control Executive for a year, and eight years with CIGNA Insurance as a Senior Loss Control Specialist. His experience also includes two years with Factory Mutual as a Loss Control Consultant.

SYNOPSIS:

The presentation will highlight a number of mostly fire related losses which have occurred in the past few years. Discussions will relate to the following losses:

  • Ship Loading Terminal
  • Pharmaceutical Facilities
  • Roof Collapse
  • Community Centre Fire
  • Aerosol Filling Operation
  • Spontaneous Combustion of Biodiesel
  • Asphalt Tank Fire
  • Ice Cream Factory Fire
  • Oilsands Upgrader Fire
  • Semiconductor Facility Flood
