SYNOPSIS:

When performing our duties as designers, consultants, inspectors, or risk managers, it is imperative to consider the seven principles of life safety. In addition, however, we must also consider the impact of human behaviour on life safety, in the event of a fire event. We will review the seven life safety principles and then consider some case studies that highlight the importance of human behaviour to fire safety.
